with just 4 days to go, i'm still in a mess. now i'm thinking, what the fuck happened to all my planning?! why am i struggling to finish so many little things?! what happened in the past 364 days after the engagement?! gardemit.

mood: 
can you believe i only have 1 weekend left before the wedding? holy fucking crap! 12 fucking days left. we are truly in the final stretch, ladies and gents. woohooooooo!
i'm trying to decipher how i really feel, cause it's weird. i'm sooo excited, that's for sure. after almost 7 years of being together, schmuck and i will finally BE TOGETHER. as man and wife. he is my husband and i am his wife. i will wake up every morning and see his face. i will go to sleep with him beside me. wow. the possibilities are endless, and we're both beyond excited! another thing that excites me is the culmination of one year of planning into one day. all the suppliers we booked. all the ideas we had. it's all going to come together and be THE wedding. OUR wedding!
on the other hand, i'm also quite nervous. and tense. and panicking. i'm not nervous about the being together part. i'm quite sure about that one. but it's the wedding itself that's giving me the jitters. what if i trip as i'm walking down the aisle? what if my bouquet is wilted? what if my photog doesn't arrive? what if my makeup is awful? what if the bridal car breaks down? what if...what it...what if! fucking crap! again, the possibilities are endless!
sometimes, i find myself being jolted awake because i'm reminded of something that i have to do and haven't done. i know that at some point, i'm going to have to relax and let go. i'm still waiting for that to happen.
anyhoo, in the meantime, please join me in my final moments of panic.
*****had another meeting with impromptu last thursday. i turned over all the contracts already, and submitted all my deliverables to them. hahaha! sounds like work! but they've been making me kulit already to do this, do that. that's when i really knew that the wedding is near na.
you know, these girls are doing a great job so far. they've streamlined all the stuff i did, and everything seems to be smoother now. i gotta admit that i felt reassured after our meeting. but they're also so much fun! i really hope that this good performance they're showing will go all the way to the wedding.
*****had my final fitting yesterday with merlene. i'm not sure what exactly changed, but when i wore my gown...there was a feeling of finality about it. i got goosebumps and honestly, i felt beautiful. nyahahaha!
my niece chloe also had her fitting yesterday, and she looked so adorable!!! at first, she didn't want to wear the gown. i was getting a little antsy cause what if she doesn't wear it on my wedding?! but her yaya managed to put it on while everyone else was distracting her. when she finally had the gown on and everyone was ooh-ing and aah-ing, she must've realized that she WAS a princess and started prancing around. ang cuuuute!!!!
now merl wants to get chloe as a model for her next ad. cool!!! (ehem...what about the bride?...hahahahaha!)
*****left the office early today and went to solea for my shoe fitting. i was supposed to have my fitting last friday, but emi got sick and it got moved to day. i was a bit peeved about it, cause i wouldn't have known that the fitting wasn't pushing through had i not texted her. haaayyy. if only they didn't make good shoes talaga.
but anyhoo, so i had my fitting today and so far, it looks good. it looked so sexy on my foot, and i can't wait to see it with all its beadings. will get my shoes on the 23rd.

last friday, my friends at the office threw me a bridal shower. man, it was such a hooooot!!!
they had so many gimmicks planned! first off, they blindfolded me from the office all the way to the venue (which i learned later on was astoria). when we got there, some guy just grabbed me and brought me inside this room and left me there. when i took off my blindfold, i saw that i was inside the bathroom. when i went out, they all shouted "surprise!" and gave me my cape (shower curtain), crown (shower cap) and scepter (a paper mache dick). hahahahaha!
we played so many games, but the highlight of the evening was....a stripper!!! i'd love to post pics of that, but then that would make my blog R-18. hahahaha! if you want pics, go
here. warning though! some pics are quite....graphic! hehehe! i'm sure you have a question in your minds, and so in answer....yes, he stripped ALL THE WAY!!! of course, i didn't put those pics in webshots. hahahahaha!
it was such a blast, and i love my friends dearly for all the effort they put into it. thanks, guys!!!

schmuck and i are terribly excited about our bed. haha! we had a bed made for us, and we had it copied from this design we both saw in the newspaper. all it needs now is some paint, and voila! the cushion will be a gift from schmuck's sisters.
*****hey, we got our first wedding gift already!!! damn, this is even better than christmas! schmuck and i have been arguing cause he wants to open them already, and i keep telling him we have to wait till the wedding. haha!
*****wow, this is a long post. since i only get to post about once a week and with the wedding in just a few days, i'm obviously cramming.

just some quick updates, and loads of pictures. i'm sorry that i haven't been able to answer your comments and tags, friends! but believe me, i always read them, and i'm sooo touched that everyone's almost as excited as i am!
here's how my week is looking, so far:
tuesday - meeting with florist to finalize
wednesday - meeting with coord to turnover contracts and finalize event concept
friday - fitting of my bridal shoes (huwahooooo!)
oh, and friday is also my bridal shower. haha! can't wait for that one too! i'll be sure to post pics of that. hee!

so much has happened in the past few weeks. wedding-related, i mean. i've also got pictures to show for it, but they're in schmuck's laptop. to follow na lang the pics. hee!
*****first off, my bridal shoes are finally being made. hallelujah! after a not so good start with solea (where she didn't turn up for our meeting), things are finally looking good. since their shop is in makati and i work in libis, i told emi that i'm unable to meet her during her window of 3-5pm. we made arrangements to meet at her house in valle 2 instead, and after work. this was last wednesday.
i showed emi the initial design i wanted, but she admitted that it was going to be difficult unless i am able to source out the faux jewelry. the design i want kasi is a rene caovilla, and it had jewelry on it. i somehow figured that it would be difficult to make, so i settled for other designs that i also loved.
i'm set to have my fitting after 7 days, so i'm REALLY excited about that! can't wait, can't wait!!!
*****we had our detailing and food tasting at the palms yesterday.
anne, our ae from the palms, is very organized and i felt confident that everything will run smoothly on the day of the wedding. she was very patient in explaining things to us, and she'd give the pros and cons of our decisions.
after the detailing, we proceeded to have our food tasting. all i can say is...heaven! although the palms had a set menu that you could choose from, schmuck and i made some changes to our menu. because we were serving alex's wedding cake as dessert, i took out some desserts from their menu and changed some viands by getting from their other menus. in other words, ginulo ko ang buhay nila. hahaha! but i was very happy with the way things turned out because even with all the changes we made, they still gave everything to us at the same cost.

*****after our meeting at the palms, we proceeded to the mother butler's house to make the final payment for the flowers for the church.
the meeting went pretty well, and mrs. jurilla she seems more accommodating than the previous mother butler, mrs. varona. she can be quite chatty pa nga eh. it's a good thing i kept the receipt of our first payment though, because during the turnover, i don't think she got all the files from mrs. varona.
*****i had another fitting today with merlene. the embroidery and beadwork is almost done, but it's purposely not completed because of the pamahiin that you can't fit your actual gown.
i just made a few changes with my train though. i wasn't very happy with how the train turned out. although merlene was just following my instructions and the picture that i showed her, it didn't come out the way i expected it to. maybe merlene should have foreseen that and told me beforehand, but anyhoo, it's all done. i just asked her to change it, but it's going to add a teeny bit to my cost since added fabric na sya. the cost is very minimal though, so i'm not making a fuss. when i told schmuck about the added cost, he didn't mind as well, so all's well that ends well. basta daw masaya ako! heehee!
with my new train, my gown is going to be beautiful!!! i'm scheduled to have my final fitting on apr 17.
i would've had my fitting on the 10th, but that's the day of merl's wedding! we were even joking around na inunahan pa nya ako! hahaha! and of course, she designed her own wedding gown. =)
*****this afternoon, schmuck and i went out to buy schmuck's wedding shoes. and because schmuck hates to walk around, we just went to one store where i knew they had good shoes. i figured if we didn't find anything there, we could always go to rustan's.
luck was on our side though, since they had a pair that both schmuck and i liked. and the good thing about it is that the sole is leather and not rubber. it's so difficult to find good formal shoes for guys nowadays. or at least one that isn't priced at an arm and a leg. anyhoo, the one we chose was made of italian leather and schmuck felt comfortable wearing it. a bit pricey, but still not as high as we had feared.
hayy. good thing we found his shoes agad. otherwise, shopping with schmuck can be such a pain in the ass. haha!
*****i have some more updates, but i'm about to fall asleep. i don't wanna fucking go back to work tomorrow. it's still audit for another week, and i'm dreading the stress. if this week is like last week, then i'm in deep shit.
i don't need this on the month of my wedding!!!

i sooo missed blogging.
things have been REEEEAAALLLLYYY toxic at the office the past week. i can't even begin to describe how much stress i've been going through, and that's just with office stuff. put wedding preps on top of that! gardemit! the past week, i've been going to the office at 7am and going home at terrible hours. one time, i went home at 1am already. after a week of so much stress, yesterday, i already had fever. waaaaaah!!! i realized that my body definitely needed some rest, so yesterday, i went home early, drank some meds, and slept.
i woke up this morning to a text message from
laine (ni ralph) and instantly felt better. laine said that she saw our wedding announcement in manila bulletin. wow! instant wake up call! i immediately got up and drove to the nearest newspaper stand to buy a copy. while driving, i realized that i was still in my jammies, but i was too excited to care. hahahaha!
i'll try and post pics of our announcement later.
*****right now, i'm actually waiting for schmuck to arrive. we're supposed to meet with the mother butler of st. james at 9am to make the final payment for the flowers. notice it's already 920am, and i'm getting frustrated. he's ALWAYS late! i had to text the mother butler to reschedule, but we also have a meeting at the palms at 10am for our detailing and food tasting.
